1. Explain the advantages of Sustainable Development.

Ans: Long-term development simply mean sustainable development. It gives highlight on protecting the nature as well.

The advantages of sustainable development are depicted below:

a. Conservation of environment.

b. Emphasis on renew, recycle and reuse approaches.

c. Handling over safe future to the new generation.

d. Sustainable management of locally available means and resources.

e. Achievement, mobilization and conservation of resources.

f. Control consumerist culture.

g. Justifiable distribution of resources.

h. Assuring high and appropriate economic growth.

2. What should we emphasize more while launching projects according to the concept of sustainable development?

Ans: Proper interaction of human beings with the nature creates development and the way it is performed determines the sustainability of development. In general, eco-friendly conducts make sure for the execution of sustainable development.

To launch any projects according to the concept of sustainable development, we should emphasize on the following matters.

a. Management of residential sites should be done in the way that it does not harm them in any way.

b. More should benefitted from the development that also preserves the nature.

c. Proper testing and experiment on the possibility of loss should be made before starting the projects.

d. The need of development should not be pricier than the preservation of environment. The less care we pay, the more destruction we bear. So, development should be within the limit of preservation of nature.

e. Proper management of disposal of garbage should be done accordingly.

3. Describe the objectives of Sustainable development.

Ans: The objectives of Sustainable development are as follows:

a. Good relation between means and resources and humans make development. To make sure for effective conservation of environment, there should be public involvement in every affair.

b. To support in poverty alleviation is an objective of sustainable development. As it encourages for proper use of means and resources, it strengthens the earning of the people. It also generates more employment opportunities for the common.

c. To develop and progress in humanity means that humanitarian essence is established among the groups of people divided on the basis of caste, breed, culture, spatial resources. Right cultural practices are brought in where there is prosperity.

d. To make optimum consumption of available means and resources minimizes environmental hazards.

4. What do you think should be done by Nepal for sustainable development?

Nepal is a developing country. There are illiterate and unaware people as well. As such, the following things should be done for sustainable development.

a. Inappropriate exploitation of natural resources should be prohibited and stopped.

b. The state should be very sensible towards making appropriate policies, law and order and maintaining it.

c. There should be strong and efficient mechanism to properly plan and execute between development and environment.

d. Everybody should be trained, taught and encouraged for making wiser way of reusing, recycling and renewing of energy sources.

१.  दिगो विकासका फाइदाहरुको उल्लेख गर्नुहोस् । 

उत्तर ः दीर्घकालीन विकासलाई सामान्यतयाः दिगो विकास भनिन्छ । यसले वातावरण र प्रकृतिको संरक्षणका बारेमा बढी जोड दिन्छ । दिगो विकासका फाइदाहरु निम्न छन् ः 

क) स्रोतहरुको, उपलब्धता, संरक्षण र परिचालन गर्ने, 

ख) उपयुक्त आर्थिक वृद्धिदर हासिल गर्ने सुनिश्चिता गर्ने 

ग) स्रोत र साधनहरुको न्यायोचित वितरण गर्ने 

घ) पर्यावरणको संरक्षणमा जोड दिने 

ङ) भावी पिँढीका लागि सुन्दर भविष्य हस्तान्तरण गर्न सहयोग पु¥याउने 

च) पुनःचक्रण, पुनःप्रयोग र नवीकरण हुने साधनको प्रयोगमा जोड दिने 

छ) स्थानीय स्रोत र साधनहरुको उपलब्धतालाई व्यवस्थापन गर्ने । 

ज) उपभोगवादी संस्कृतिलाई नियन्त्रण गर्ने आदि । 

२. दिगो विकासको अवधारणाअनुसार हामीले आयोजनाहरु सञ्चालन गर्नु अगावै के कुरामाथि जोड दिनुपर्छ ? 

उत्तर ः प्रकृतिसँग मानिसको उचित अन्तरक्रियाले विकासको सिर्जना गर्दछ र यसले विकासको दिगोपनालाई अझ बलियो बनाउँछ । सामान्य अर्थ भन्नुपर्दा वातावरणमैत्री विकासका कार्यले दिगो विकासको कार्यान्वयनलाई सुनिश्चित गर्दछ । दिगो विकासको अवधारणाअनुसार हामीले आयोजनाहरु सञ्चालन गर्नु अगावै निम्न कुराहरुमाथि जोड दिनुपर्छ । 

क) फोहोर मैलाको उचित रुपमा विसर्जन गर्ने व्यवस्था मिलाउनुपर्छ । 

ख) प्रकृतिलाई संरक्षण गरी धेरैभन्दा धेरै मानिसलाई फाइदा दिने खालका आयोजनाहरु छनोट गर्नुपर्छ । 

ग) आयोजनाहरु शुरु गर्नुपूर्व यसले हानी गर्ने सक्ने सम्भावित जोखिमहरुको परीक्षण र उचित प्रयोग गरी आयोजनाहरु सञ्चालन गर्ने 

घ) बसोबास वा आवासक्षेत्रहरुको निर्माण गर्दा यसले वातावरणमा हानी नोक्सानी पु¥याउनु नहुने । 

ङ) वातावरण संरक्षण गर्ने भन्दा बढी महँगो विकासको आवश्यकता हुनु हुँदैन । जति हामी लापरवाही गर्छौँ त्यति नै क्षति हामीले भोग्नुपर्छ । त्यसैले विकास प्रकृतिको संरक्षणको सीमितसँग सम्बन्धित हुनुहुँदैन ।  

३. दिगो विकासका उद्देश्यहरुको उल्लेख गर्नुहोस् । 

उत्तर ः दिगो विकासका उद्देश्यहरु निम्नलिखित छन् ः 

क) उच्च, स्थिर र दिगो आर्थिक वृद्धि हासिल गर्ने, 

ख) गरिबी निवारणमा सहयोग पु¥याउने

ग) मानवीय विकास र प्रगति गर्ने 

घ) वातावरणको प्रभावकारी संरक्षण गर्ने 

ङ) अशक्त, अपाङ्गता, महिलालगायतका क्षेत्रमा सामाजिक न्याय कायम गर्ने  

च) स्रोत र साधनको सावधानीपूर्वक प्रयोग गर्ने । 

४. दिगो विकासको लागि नेपालले के गर्नुपर्छ ? आफ्नो धारणा व्यक्त गर्नुहोस् । 

नेपाल एक विकासोन्मुख देश हो । यहाँ धेरै निरक्षर र असावधानी मानिसहरु छन् । यस्तो अवस्थालाई मध्यनजर गर्दै नेपालले निम्न कुराहरुमाथि ध्यान दिनुपर्छ । 

क) उपयुक्त नियम, नीति र कानुन बनाउनुपर्दा र शान्ति सुरक्षा कायम गर्न राज्य धेरै चेतनशील हुुनुपर्छ । 

ख) विकास र वातावरणबीच तालमेल मिलाउन र कार्यान्वयन गर्नको लागि बलियो, सक्षम र प्रभावकारी विकास संयन्त्र बनाउनुपर्छ । 

ग) जताभावी वातावरणमा भइरहेको प्रकृति दोहन गर्ने कार्यमाथि रोक लगाउन कडा व्यवस्था गरी रोक्नुपर्छ । 

घ) देशका सबै व्यक्तिहरुलाई स्रोत र साधनहरुको पुनप्रयोग, प्ुनःचक्रण र नवीकरण गरी बुद्धिमतापूर्वक प्रयोग गर्ने सवालमा तालिम दिने, शिक्षित बनाउने र हौसला प्रदान गर्नुपर्दछ ।
