Ans. In my opinion, Goal number is 1 of Sustainable Development Goals, which deals with goal of zero poverty, is the most appropriate in Nepal because acute poverty is the main reason for lack of education, health services, transportation development and a number of other problems in Nepal.

2. What is sustainable development?

Ans: Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generation to meet their own needs is called Sustainable Development.

3. When and where was the UN conference on the Human and Environment held first?

Ans: the UN conference on the Human and Environment was first held on 5 - 16 june, 1972 in Stockholm, Sweden.

4. Mention an objective of Sustainable development.

Ans. To help the community in alleviation of poverty is an objective of Sustainable development.

5. When was the concept of Sustainable Development introduced?

The concept of Sustainable Development was introduced in 1987 A.D.

6. Write a characteristic of Sustainable Development.

Ans. A characteristic of Sustainable Development is it helps in sustainable management of means and resources available locally.

7. What is "Our Common Future"?

Ans: "Our Common Future" is the concept of Sustainable Development as its prime principle.

8. State Nepal's agenda for sustainable development, 2060.

Ans: The overall goal of sustainable development is to mitigate poverty by availing fundamental means to at least the present citizens and future generations, as well as activity generate and create opportunities in social, economic, political, cultural and ecological sectors.

9. What should be considered most for sustainable development? Describe.

Ans: Sustainable development is the concept of development that promotes environmental preservation and optimum utilization of means and resources. It encourages for development without destruction of nature in large.

The following things should be considered most for sustainable development.

a. Development made once should meet the needs of people for long. They should be durable and maintainable. Long-term development reduces the over expenses in the name of development.

b. Environmental balance should be kept in priority so that it reduces destruction of nature in the name of development. The originality of environment should be maintained for preserving nature for the people of upcoming generations, too,

c. Conservation of forest and other resources is essential for sustainable development. Protecting forest protects all other resources in the nature.

d. The environment is composed of biotic and abiotic factors in the nature. Protection of biodiversity breeds the new one and fulfils the need of its consumers. Besides, it maintains the nature.

उत्तर मेरो विचारमा, दिगो विकास लक्ष्यको लक्ष्य १ ले शून्य गरीबीलाई जनाउँछ। यो नेपालको लागि सबभन्दा उपयुक्त छ किनभने शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य सेवा, यातायातको विकास र अन्य धेरै समस्याहरूको अभावमा गम्भिर गरीबी नै मुख्य कारण हो। 

२. दिगो विकास भनेको के हो < 

उत्तर M भविष्यको पुस्ताको आफ्नै आवश्यकताहरू पूरा गर्ने क्षमतामा सम्झौता नगरी वर्तमानका आवश्यकताहरू पूर्ति गर्ने विकासलाई दिगो विकास भनिन्छ। 

३. मानव र वातावरण सम्बन्धी संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको सम्मेलन कहिले र कहाँ सम्पन्न भयो?

उत्तर: मानव र पर्यावरण सम्बन्धी संयुक्त राष्ट्र सम्मेलन पहिलो पटक  जून, १ - १६ सम्म  स्वीडेनको स्टॉकहोममा सम्पन्न भयो।

४. दिगो विकासको एउटा उद्देश्य उल्लेख गर्नुहोस्।

उत्तर M समुदायका  गरीबी उन्मूलन गर्न सहयोग गर्नु दिगो विकासको उद्देश्य हो।

५. दिगो विकासको अवधारणा कहिले सुरु भयो?

 उत्तर M दिगो विकासको अवधारणा सन् १९८७ ईस्वीमा सुरु भयो। 

६. दिगो विकासको एक विशेषता लेख्नुहोस्।

उत्तर :  दिगो विकासको एक विशेषता भनेको यसले स्थानीय रूपमा उपलब्ध साधन र स्रोतको दिगो व्यवस्थापन गर्नमा मद्दत गर्दछ।

७. "हाम्रो साझा भविष्य" भनेको के हो ?

उत्तर: "हाम्रो साझा भविष्य" ले दिगो विकासको अवधारणाको प्रमुख सिद्धान्तको रूपलाई जनाउँछ ।

८.  दिगो विकासको लागि राज्य नेपालको एजेन्डा, २०६० उल्लेख गर्नुहोस्। 

उत्तर: दिगो विकासको समग्र लक्ष्य भनेको कम्तिमा वर्तमान नागरिक र भावी पुस्तालाई मौलिक साधनको उपयोग गरी गरिबी निवारण गर्नुका साथै यसको क्रियाकलापले सामाजिक, आर्थिक, राजनीतिक, सांस्कृतिक र पर्यावरणीय क्षेत्रमा अवसरहरू उत्पन्न गर्ने र सिर्जना गर्ने छ।

९. दिगो विकासको लागि कुन कुरालाई सबैभन्दा बढी ध्यान दिनुपर्दछ? वर्णन गर्नुहोस्।

उत्तर: दिगो विकास भनेको विकासको अवधारणा हो जसले वातावरण संरक्षण र साधन र स्रोतको अधिकतम उपयोगलाई प्रोत्साहित गर्दछ। यसले ठूलो प्रकृति विनाशबिना विकासको लागि प्रोत्साहित गर्दछ।

 निम्नलिखित कुराहरु माथि  दिगो विकासको लागि सबभन्दा बढी विचार गरिनु पर्छ।

 क    एक पटक गरिएको विकासले लामो समयको लागि मानिसका आवश्यकताहरू पूरा गर्नुपर्दछ। तिनीहरू टिकाऊ र कायम गर्न योग्य हुनुपर्दछ। दीर्घकालीन विकासले विकासको नाममा बढी खर्च घटाउँछ।

ख   वातावरणीय सन्तुलनलाई प्राथमिकतामा राख्नु पर्छ ताकि यसले विकासको नाममा प्रकृतिको विनाशलाई घटाउँदछ। वातावरणको मौलिकता प्रकृति संरक्षणको लागि आउँदो पुस्ताका मानिसहरुका पनि संरक्षण गरिनु पर्छ।

ग  दिगो विकासको लागि वन र अन्य स्रोतहरूको संरक्षण आवश्यक छ। जंगलको सुरक्षाले प्रकृतिमा भएका सबै स्रोतहरू सुरक्षित गर्दछ।

घ  वातावरण प्रकृतिमा जैविक र अजैविक कारकहरूले बनेको छ। जैविक  विविधताको संरक्षण एक नयाँ प्रजनन र यसको उपभोक्ताको आवश्यकता पूरा गर्दछ। यस अलावा, यसले प्रकृति सन्तुलन कायम गर्दछ ।
